I would like to make a modification to the loading jibs that someone in your group has uploaded to trainz. Of course, I first would like your permission to do so.

I would like to add a feature to show or hide all the current queues on the platform. (I might expand that later to pick individual queues). I have written some driver commands to do this for vehicles (essentially allows for loading and unloading cars "instantly"). I know how to program in tranzscript, but I do not understand industry scripts. I think I could set the queue contents to 0, but have no idea where or how to do this in your .gs file.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks,

Pitkin

Hi Pitkin
The asset was created many years ago by John_SB, however I don't believe he is active anymore.

The industry uses, from memory, a standard multiple-industry-new script, so didn't have any custom scripting applied to it. Unfortunately, I don't think many members here are proficient enough with Trainz Script to assist with this side of things.

As for modifying the asset; my suggestion would be to 'alias' the original and then use a modified version of the default 'multiple industry new' asset's script (start with the latest version of the 'auran' asset from the DLS though, as it has a necessary update to the script).

To create an alias; follow these steps:

1) Clone the asset
2) In the mesh-table, below the 'auto-create' line, enter 'mesh-asset' then the kuid of the original asset
3) Delete all 'im', '.texture.txt', and texture (tga, bmp, etc) files.

This way you can distribute your version without needing permission; since it won't include any of their files, it just references them :) (this doesn't apply to doing a reskin; but for putting an alternate script on it should be good).

Regards

I appreciate your replying. I am looking at ways to approach what I am trying to do. If it looks interesting, I will post progress.

Thanks,

Pitkin
