G'day Aaron™ & Xcrappa,

...I'm sure that's the sort of thing Xcrappa is searching for, Aaron but I suspect the one he wants is a bit more modern than that one...

...by the way, whoever authorised that signal diagram should be put up against a wall and shot, along with the guy who drew it - North Melbourne is at the wrong 'side' of the diagram...

With what is in the game today could you actually re-produce this diagram anyway ?. Like do we have the proper signals and track to be able to make sum thing like this for our game ?. Just wondering as i see a few requests for track diagrams and such and am wondering if it could be done anyway as i have not seen many come to fruition and i was wondering why.
Cheers Mick.

Hi Garry,

I noticed it was reversed too, the signalling is pretty much the same, only difference is interlocking's where removed and aspect signals place in the same spot (placed on original gantry's) all Xcrappa would need to do is build it with a few less tracks.

Hi Mick,

Jamie is recreating that layout.. just different era...

Cheers.

Are you sure it's reversed?

Pretty sure it's just a 'north up' map. So north is at the top, which correctly puts Spencer Street at the eastern end (right hand end), and North Melbourne at the western end (left), with the passenger yard on the north side of the mainline tracks (as it is now, albeit quite a different yard arrangement).

Regards

G'day S301,

...Zec, I could certainly accept that 'explanation" as the reason for the diagram having been drawn the way it is but in every other diagram I have ever seen, Melbourne is ALWAYS located on the left hand side (except for those diagrams for locations "out East"). As a 'driver', I would have found this diagram confusing, if it had ever been 'released' to me...

Hi Xcrappa,

The problem I see with the one you posted is all the tracks are drawn as a straight line when their's soft curves from Spencer St to North Melbourne and the carriage drawing looks to be very blocky rather than having the curves and points drawn more accurately...

I would of linked you the 2005/2006/2007/2008/2009/2010/2011/2012 and 2013 diagrams but their all the same as your above one and thought you wanted a drawing with lots of detail.

Cheers.
