Hi Dan
I would personally recommend the manual patch over the auto-patch. If you use the manual patch, and the patch does happen to fail, you won't need to download it again... ;)

Plus, the hotfix should only take a short time (first 3 for TS12 were something like 10-15min install times) to install on top of a SP1 install :)

You shouldn't see an issue with the max-coupler-gap tag with VR stuff, as none of ours has it set to 0 /except/ possibly Billegulla's steamers.

Personally, I made a copy of my TS12 folder, then installed TS12 SP1 into this. That way I can go back to pre SP1 if I need to :)

Regards
Zec

:D Thank you Zec for your advice
...I use TS10 for my route building but once finished "Windermere to Ararat" route I want to CDP it and put in TS12.

G'day oldfartdan,

Not sure if this is relevant to your problem but GPavlich has posted an update post concerning the patch failing on systems with Trend Micro anti virus installed.

cheers

He also recommends disabling any A/V software during the patch. I installed it over a separate fresh install and did a database repair just before starting and then after the patch just to sort everything out, along with the usual reboots.

Many are complaining about the errors but I have no real issues, content creators should provide their content with images to begin with and configure them correctly. I don't care about the uniform colour warning because it's just that; only a warning. It still runs fine with that there.

Only issue now is updating some of the content on my tram route...and finishing off the trams themselves!
