Sorry i was talking about this the keeping to DLS content only

Depends on if TS12 has content that you really want on your route. If not, then I would suggest build in 09, and run in TS12 (or, as I'm doing with the Healesville route, build in TS2010 and run/test in TS12). So long as you keep to DLS only content, and build it in 'native mode' (aka, compatibility mode turned off), you shouldn't have issues with it in TS12

That's because some creators don't use DLS and have 3rd party sites meaning any route using there stuff makes it hard for the downloader to find the missing assets and frustrates people, also means you can't use the route on Multiplayer, so it's best to use Built in and DLS content only, even Beta's shouldn't be used on a route that's been released as beta means incomplete asset and has/might have bugs.

Cheers.

G'day Michael_pakenham
I would suggest you find the track you want to use, I would suggest using VR BG Wood, Another thing you will need are some textures every route creator uses different ones I normaly use 09_20 which is built in, in both 09 and 12. If you look at some of the other route makers such as myself around here you can get quite alot of ideas
I am currently making the StonyPoint line to a 1950's time era. Now back on topic, Alot of content made for th VR is to an 09 build number which means you can use it in Trainz 2009 and above. You also may want some station buildings made by Garry (Jerker) and the VR passenger platform kit by Zec (S301)
Thats just the basics really I guss, I hope this helps you abit

Michael

Another important thing to do is work out what era you want to model as signalling/track layout changes over the years, I also have some 1970s/80s concrete tracks on DLS too.

Cheers.

'80's is quite possibly the best time to model. You get B's hauling E and N cars at the same time, Harris', Comeng, Hitachi, even an old Tait. N's are obviously a plus, as are A's and the Mighty C. Mix that in with orange and grey and I'm looking forward to watching the progress of this layout :D
