Wow, only one didn't come. But that was only announced after my post, since he was unable to attend. :( That being Aust-N-Rail.

I note that leaving TOTR out was correct sadly :(

G'day All,

Once again, that time of the year has rolled around and all members of this forum, those in a position to do so, at least, are cordially invited to this year's exhibition, As was the case last year, we have reassembled at the Union Hall in Latrobe University. Unfortunately, due to major upgrading works, we do not have access to the main hall we were in last year but we have, with the cooperation of the University, been able access other areas. Although this means we are 'spread out' over the rest of the building, the exhibition 'looks' to be as good as ever (having done the final walk around after the set up this evening. I am a little disappointed that some of the country's major traders (especially P.S.M.) were unable to attend this year (Jamie????) but we haven't allowed this to dampen our spirits (or our resolve to present the best exhibition in the country). Head over to the club's website, hbmrc.net.au and follow the links to the "Exhibition" page for details on when, where and how to get there. I hope to see many familiar faces over the course of the weekend...

Jerker {:)}

I didn't think the exhibition looked 'as good as ever', I think it's taken a downward turn in both quality and numbers.

PSM wasn't there because dad wants his long weekends back. I was in Rosebud and only ended up staying for about an hour on Monday, and then helping pack down (clean up) Auscision's stand.

I have noticed a rise in people going away for Easter nowadays, and I think in future it may hurt HBMR Exhibition more and more as the years go on. I remember when Hobsons bay was the best show by far.

I reckon the quality was top notch, some of those layout were better than most of the stuff at Sandown and Caufield... more narrow gauge too :lol:
