Good Evening Everybody.

Well today Billy the Puff celebrated 50 years of tourist opperations under the PBPS. The event was marked with a re-enactment of the first train with 14A masquerating as classmate 7A as it appeared in 1962. Subsiquently 7A was re-badged as 9A, affectionately known as 'Polly'. This was the guise she wore for a while back in 2009 when she was loaned to the WGR for its 100th centenery.

Along with the scheduled train, Gasworks locos 1711 'Sir John Grice' was in steam at Menzies Creek, a loco I've personally put elbow grease into to keep it shiny. The preserved stationary boiler at the Menzies Creek museum was also in steam inside the new 'exhibition hall' constructed as part of the museum's upgrade, along with a preserved traction engine. 861 'J. C. Rees' was in light steam at Belgrave where she put her VR 5 Chime to good use as the special departed Belgrave at 1:30pm sharp.

Myself and Stephen, as well as many other 'gunzles' chased the train to most lineside areas to film and photograh the event, which wasn't without incident. We missed the train at Monbulk Creek trestle but some 'skillful' driving got us to other photograhic oppotunities. A great day I must say and was able to meet up with my mate from the Youth Group.

Anyways, here's some piccies!

Yes, it was indeed a fantastic day out, very exciting, have not chased a train since R761s trip to Echuca in 2004 :)

We had to share the camera, but Tim might win the competition, he has better photoshopping techniques than me, however I am quite the hand with a camera :)

Anyone else to have anything to share of this day?

Cheers
Stevo

Fantastic images Timo, loved watching the video too. I always like watching videos when the camera is recording at a level crossing, get's me in a beat

Cheers,
Nathan
